Coral Line by: Kihm Christophe

Coral Type: Branching

Coral species: Montipora digitata

Note: Whilst the fragments are all healthy and growing, something on the nursery keeps biting the tips off which is causing the decrease in average growth rate we can see in our graph. This is actually happening to all our lines of this species (which we misidentified originally). We suspect a parrotfish, but will put a gopro down there to get a better idea of what is going on!

Coral Line by: Detour Deluxe Group

Coral Type: Bushy

Coral species: Pocillopora damicornis

Note: This line suffered mass mortality almost instantly. It is possible the colony we took to fragment couldn't withstand the stress. If you would like us to plant you a new line, please email us at deborah.burn@gili-lankanfushi.com . Whilst this is not good news, it is still good data for our research.
